Nice clean but the pool close at 8 pm

Very kind and helpful receptionists all of them and also the guy I don’t know maybe the manager? He was good tooo. Clean perfectly clean on allergy at all Nice room has everything you need even the stereo was nice There also good parking area

One of the security wasn’t nice and friendly there is the sign on pool close at 10 and it was 8.10 he came to kick us off no polite at all no respect If it closed at 8 pm at least should inform guests or changes the sign Difficult to get taxi so we only used grab no problem Walk to the main area 10–15 mins

Not a bad place to sleep if you're on business trip.

Not a bad place overall. People complained about the wifi in the review, but I didn't have any issue. Was pretty clean and everyone at the lobby was very kind.

They could really do better with the breakfast, it's not a quality that 5star hotel supposed to have. The location is not at the centre of the Bangkok, need to get on a taxi every time.

The property is as you would expect from the metropole, amazing interior

The breakfast was the worst I have had at a hotel for a long time. 5* is laughable. The food is provided by chow restaurant and it’s sub standard at best.

Gorgeous Hotel.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful in the Thonglor district, one of Bangkok's hippest areas with great restaurants everywhere, and we appreciated eating the Dominos Pizza they have in the hotel in bed after a long day.

The bathtub is the size of a Malibu Barbie bathtub, to scale. You can barely fit in it. and it has a step, too. So incredibly uncomfortable. They might as well have put in a shower.

Overall. Its good to stay.. will definitely opt this if i come back for work.

Cleanliness is good. For me and my colleague Metropole is good to stay as its very near to our work location. If we want taxi for work or tour, Metropole always helped to book the taxi.

Breakfast and Wi-fi is poor. Wi-fi poor interms of Whats app call. cleanliness word is missing in chow, breakfast doesn’t have much options. I would suggest not to opt the breakfast. But for us(indian) there are no options outside and we didn’t had time to search.

Good tv - though it broke after one day.

Good tv - though it broke after one day. Clean with all amenities. Staff kind, but English was not good and most were on their mobile phones.

Strong suggestion to NOT stay at this hotel. See reasons below (please read last point): 1. Very noisy! It looks very high quality but actually the walls and doors are super thin so you will hear everything. People talking in corridor actually sounded like they were in the room. 2. Bathroom very small with poor design meaning a shower floods the room after 2 minutes. 3. Fridge not working, took two requests to the staff to have it fixed. It was fixed but it was so weak and powerless it may as well have been off. Tv and plug points also stopped working after one day. 4. View from hotel is horrible. Either looking straight into a tower block or busy main road. 5. Location is poor - around 45 minutes away from centre for shopping. 6. BEWARE SCAM - We booked a private driver for the day at the concierge for 2000 THB (approx 50 GBP), where it was promised a driver with very good English would be our private driver all day and take us to numerous tourist places in Bangkok (floating market, grand palace etc). We thought it would be a great way to see the main sights in a secure and trustworthy way (happily paying a premium for a safe and premium option). We soon realised in the car we would need the whole day as the floating market was 100km+ away and took around 1hr 45mins to arrive. When we asked the driver for updates he repeatedly lied, downplaying how far it was (‘only 10km away - 2min drive’ - very far from the truth!). He originally quoted 50 mins, when it actually took 1hr 45mins. We were taken to a backstreet entrance which we instantly felt was not right. We were practically forced out the car by locals who demanded around 100 USD to enter the market. Without a phone or local English speaking guide, we started getting worried and did not realise it was in fact free to enter (something we discovered when getting back to the hotel). The location we were at was very remote with no way to get back towards civilisation.

Hotel ran out of water for 2 consecutive days due to some issue with the pump and we had to bathe in a different area which was very inconvenient.

The water was cut off from morning around 6am and they cannot get it fixed until 12:00pm noon... no water supply, we need to use water bottle to brush our teeth and no shower and no Toilet water... Worse experience I ever come across on my travelling life...

All Are accommodating and friendly. Everytime we requested for room cleaning, we went back very neat and clean.

This property may have been 4.5 stars 20 years ago and with different staff, but isn't any more.

Not much. Day shift lobby man friendly and helpful. Pool was nice and clean. Staff in adjacent restaurant/bar attentive and helpful once we actually worked out where it was.

Arrived late. 10pm ish Ushered into foyer seating waiting for check in desk to become available. While waiting 2/3 check in staff disappeared. 1 reappeared after 10 minutes and found something very important to attend to on computer Had to push the point after 20 minutes to actually get checked in. Had to carry own bags to and from the room. No staff on hand. Paid additional for deluxe room with balcony. Traffic noise so loud sleeping was difficult. No guest information available. Front desk staff said just call us if you need anything but were unhelpful to say the least. Took 40 minutes to get a room service menu and another 30 to find out that the restaurant was actually still open. Tried to charge for the room twice. Once at booking, and again at check in. Advertised as functional kitchen but not even a single plate in the cupboard. Bathroom a study in poor concept and design. Impossible to have a shower without flooding the room. Bath big enough for a small child. Toilet continually running when we arrived. Fixed it myself after no maintenance attendance. Very ordinary service. Maybe not all the staff but those that under perform will drag everyone down. Would not recommend.

I sent 2 emails to the hotel in the run up my trip asking for assistance with an airport transfer but never got a reply so had to take a cab from the airport which I had not wanted to do, arriving late at night as a woman alone. I was surprised that I didn’t even get a reply to my follow up emailed marked “Please reply- airport transfer required” sent to the reservations email address provided by booking.com The breakfast buffet was underwhelming and mostly cold

What was the highlight of Metropole Bangkok

One of the worst 5-star hotel experiences I ever had.

The hotel offered Sauna, a gym with a nice view on the pool and has a very nice lobby area. The staff was always friendly and supportive.

The hotel rooms have a terrible shower with a cheap bath curtain and strange design that leads to a flooding in the bathroom every time you take a shower and no matter how careful you are. The rooms are gloomy and dark, without possibility to open a window. The supposed to be hot dishes were cold already when I arrived at 9am for breakfast and were not continuously heated. My room was not made up even at 15:00pm when I arrived back from business trip. Overall the hotel does not deserve a 5-star rating.
